In my second studio session, I did my product studio shoot. I firstly did Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner, which I took the concept for the portrait shoot from. Here are the best images...
In this shot I used a light table as I wanted a light background. I used one light on the right for the shot with a soft box on, as in previous exercises in the studio I liked the diffused light. As I haven't used another light or reflector on the left of the bottles there is a shadow formed. I have used two bottles in the shot and they are centred in the composition.
In this photograph I decided to just use one bottle of shampoo. It is slightly to the right of the centre in order to get the shadow in the image fully.
I think the only fault in this image is that the shampoo if fully in the composition but the conditioner is not. I have placed the shampoo in front of the conditioner to give an idea of preference and dominance of the first bottle.
Here I have used the same set up of the bottles but slightly moved back with the camera so that both bottles are fully in the image.
In this image I used the same light set up but added an extra light at the back of the light table, directly behind the bottles. Therefore there is a high key light effect, it makes the bottles seem floating rather than seen sitting on a table. The light at the back has slightly formed a purple look that fades our towards the centre. It looks like one of the research images I looked at in my proposal.
I will reflect on these images later to find a final image for the Pantene Pro- V Product shoot...
